A Pain-Free Retirement

Ed and Hazel Savage

Ed and Hazel Savage

Constant pain was putting a serious damper on retirement for Ed and Hazel Savage of Thousand Oaks, California. But now, thanks to the Nopal Cactus Juice, the couple will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this summer with an entirely new outlook on life.
“Life just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter; it’s the happiest time of our lives,” says Hazel.

Just six months before, the couple could hardly make it through a day without feeling discouraged from the growing number of medical challenges they seemed to be facing.
In fact, the pain in Hazel’s back had gotten so bad that she thought she might have to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. “I could hardly stand it. Even pain pills didn’t help,” says Hazel.

She had spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal cord, which was putting pressure on the discs in her back, causing pain to radiate from her hips to her ankles. Her doctor said the only solution was either epidural injections or surgery – two scenarios Hazel was hoping to avoid.

And if that wasn’t enough, she also began suffering from inflammation, as well as a general aching feeling in her body. Her doctor was concerned and sent to a specialist for a series of blood tests. “They thought that I might have cancer,” says Hazel. “They told me cancer can create a lot of inflammation in the body.”

Right about that time Ed saw an article about Nopal Cactus Juice and its anti-inflammatory properties. He didn’t hesitate to pick up the phone and place an order. Within two weeks of drinking the juice, Hazel was feeling good and her back pain was significantly less. But best of all, her next blood test showed a dramatic turnaround.

“I’d been facing the possibility of a bone marrow biopsy and I was worried because I knew that would be painful,” says Hazel. She was overjoyed when she heard the news – her test results were perfect and a biopsy was not necessary. Instead of every three months, the doctor said he didn’t need to see her again for another six months. “I realized the juice was doing exactly what I was hoping it would – rid my body of toxins and inflammation,” she says.

When Ed saw how the juice was helping Hazel, he decided to try it for himself. Last year he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, which had then spread to his hip. Surgery, followed by radiation therapy took care of the cancer, but left him with degenerative bone disease in his hip, which was painful and caused him to limp.

Similar to Hazel’s experience, within a short time, Ed’s pain was gone. He’s not limping anymore and he’s returned to one of his favorite hobbies – gardening. “Last year there was no way I could plant a garden because once I knelt down on the ground I knew I would not be able to get back up again,” says Ed. “This year I’m happy to be growing string beans, cucumbers, peppers and radishes.”

Now that both Hazel and Ed are pain-free, “it’s like we have a whole new lease on life now,” says Hazel. They’re also actively pursuing the pay-it-forward program by sharing their success stories. “We are all fired up about the juice,’ says Hazel. “I am excited and motivated to help other people get well and I’m happy to be putting a little extra money in my pocket.”
